Lullfabric: Tinnitus Relief
Support
Last updated 1 August 2026
Lullfabric learns the pitch of your tinnitus and plays a gentle, personalised soundscape shaped around it. The sound is composed fresh by a generative music engine every session, so no two listens are the same. Here is how to get the most from it, and how to reach me.
Getting started
- 1 Wear headphones in a quiet room. This matters most for finding your tone.
- 2 Tune in. Match the pitch of your tinnitus using simple "which is closer?" choices. It is normal not to nail it first time, and you can re-tune whenever you like.
- 3 Set your level. Raise the sound until it just blends with your tinnitus, never until it covers it, and never loud.
- 4 Your daily listen. Pick a length and let it play. You can lock your phone and close your eyes.
- 5 Settle (optional). A short breathing wind-down afterwards, and an optional guided attention pass during the session.
Questions people ask
I am not sure I found the right tone.
That is completely normal, and it is the hardest part. Open Settings, then "Re-tune your pitch", and try again. Most people get a closer match on a second or third attempt, once their ear knows what to listen for. You cannot make a mistake here.
Should I still be able to hear my tinnitus during a session?
Yes, faintly, underneath. Lullfabric is not trying to mask or drown out your tinnitus; it shapes sound around your pitch. Hearing it gently is expected.
How loud should it be?
Comfortable and gentle, never loud. The level you set at the mixing point becomes a ceiling the app will not go above. If anything feels uncomfortable, lower it or stop.
How long until it helps?
Notched sound therapy has a real but modest, slow-building and genuinely mixed evidence base. Any relief tends to come gradually, over weeks of regular listening, not overnight, and not for everyone. The daily habit is the point.
How long should I listen for?
The app defaults to 24 minutes and offers 6 to 60. Studies point at consistency rather than length, so coming back most days matters more than any single long session.
Does it keep playing with the screen off?
Yes. A session continues with your phone locked, so you can rest your eyes.
Can I use it if I only have tinnitus in one ear?
Yes. Lullfabric is per ear. Left and right have their own pitch and their own notch, so you can tune just the side that needs it.
Does Lullfabric collect my data?
No. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no network connections. Everything stays on your device, and you can export or delete it in Settings. See the privacy policy.
How do I export or delete my data?
Settings, then Your data, then "Export your data" for a JSON copy, or "Delete all data" to erase it.
